ISLAMABAD: Around 300 players will vie for honours as the eighth edition of the Benazir Bhutto National Ranking Tennis Championship will roll into action today (Monday) here at the Islamabad Tennis Complex.

Players will first play the pre-qualification round on Monday to advance to the main round which will be kicked-off on Tuesday. The tournament will conclude on Dec 18.

Mohammad Shoaib, winner of the recently concluded Federal Cup and Aqeel Khan, the other finalist, will be in action alongside Muzammil Murtaza in the men’s singles event.

The participants of presser said that in the championship competitions will be held in 13 categories including men’s singles and doubles, ladies singles, boys Under-18, girls Under-18, boys Under-14, girls Under-14, boys and girls Under-12, Under-10, special child, senior doubles 45+, senior Doubles 60+ and open media categories.
