TAXILA: Four persons died in various parts of district Attock on Friday.

In the first incident, a car hit two women who were crossing G.T. road near Kamra bus stop. One of them died on the spot while the other succumbed to her injuries in District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital Attock. A two-month old baby girl who was carried by one of the women fortunately remained unhurt.

In the second incident, a man was stoned to death for chopping a tree in the jurisdiction of Bhattar police station.

Police said that Mohammad Taj had a dispute with his rivals over the tree on his land and when he was chopping it, his rivals stoned him to death him and escaped.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist died after being hit by a vehicle on Fatehjang-Kohat road near Dhoke Darsaki in the jurisdiction of Fatehjang police station. Police said that Javaid - a native of Dhoke Fateh was going on his motorcycle when a speeding car hit him and resultantly he died on the spot. Later, his body was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital, Fatehjang. Respective police registered separate cases and launched further investigation.
