Mother of Indian PM Modi passes away at 99

The mother of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Heeraben, died in the early hours of Friday at the age of 99.
According to Hindustan Times, Modi and his brothers performed the last rites of their mother in Gandhinagar, the capital of the state of Gujarat.
Modi and his elder brother Somabhai Modi were seen lighting the pyre of their mother at the crematorium as other family members surrounded them, the report said.
The report further said that Heeraben was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad on Wednesday due to ill health. At the time, doctors treating her had said that she was stable and recovering.
Taking to Twitter, the Indian premier paid tribute to his mother. He honoured her “glorious” long life and said that a “century rests at feet of God,” Hindustan Times reported.
NDTV added that Heeraben used to live with Modi’s younger brother, Pankaj Modi, at Raysan village near Gandhinagar.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered his condolences to his Indian counterpart.
“There is no greater loss than losing one’s mother. My condolences to Prime Minister @narendramodi on the passing away of his mother,” he said.

Modi and Yogi are both hated in Pak. But if nothing praise them for their honesty. Both these leaders have families who continue to live a normal life. If they were running a shop before Modi or Yogi became a PM, they are still doing that. Yogi's sister and her family run a flower shop for a temple establishment. Yes, you can hate them for other issues but respect them for a clean honest living.

The thing is that the entire Modi extended family is still living a very simple life. No govt jobs. No high profile stuff. Just the way they were before Modi became PM. The sight of mom going with her other son (modi's brother) on a simple autorickshaw to vote for her son as the PM of India is one of the greatest sights.

PM Modi is honest to his nation. His mother Heeraben was a great mother, who taught honestly to her children. Just see the elder brother of Modi, Somabhai he is sober, down to earth, and no signs of unusual wealth seen, he live as usual. PM Modi did nothing to raise life standards of his family members. That’s the reason Indians love Modi.

None of Modi's close relatives had any important post in government. No other person of Modi's relative lived with him Modi's PM residence! On the other hand, Congress PM's relatives all benefitted to the utmost in government and prospered beyond wildest dreams and made billions.
