KASUR: Up to 80 sheep were found mauled and killed on Sunday in the village of Maan. Their necks, mouths, and legs were severed from their bodies.
The sheep were allegedly slaughtered by a gang of wolves that crossed into Pakistan from India, according to the locals. However, several villagers believed that a pack of stray dogs attacked the herd.
According to farmer Muhammad Zafar, when he went into the enclosure on Sunday morning, he found sheep dead lying around the place.
Zafar requested aid from the government on the grounds that he had lost Rs 2 million.
He claimed that the flock was the only thing he did.
Police and livestock officials began conducting multiple investigations into the incident.
