ISLAMABAD: A five-year-old child was kidnapped on the last day of the calendar year and two vehicles were stolen from Lake View Park on Sunday.

A trader leader Sarfraz Mughal, while talking to Dawn, said that on Saturday, a five-year-old child was abducted by two motorcycle riders.

“The child Mohammad Burhan, son of Mohammad Shahid, went to a tuck shop in street 8 Irfanabad near Tramri Chowk. While he was returning from there, two riders picked him up and escaped. Shahid, who is a tailor by profession, informed Koral police but the child could not be recovered,” he said.

Mr Mughal said on Sunday that two vehicles, a Mehran and Cultus, were stolen from lake view park.

Secretariat police was informed about both incidents, he said.

“Residents of the federal capital appeal to the police management that steps should be taken to protect their life and property,” he said.
