SWAT: Three people died in separate incidents here on Thursday.

The Mingora police said resident Javed killed his wife in the Rang Mohallah area by subjecting her to violence over a family issue.

They said the suspected killer fled.

The police said they had booked the man before launching a search for him.

Also in the day, a woman committed suicide in Odigram area on the outskirts of Mingora area.

The police said Mrs Farooq fell unconscious after consuming a poison, and died in the hospital.

They said they had registered a case and began investigation to ascertain the cause of suicide.

Meanwhile, a man died and another fell unconscious after coal smoke filled a hotel room they rented in Malam Jabba area.

The police said the two burnt coal at night to keep the room warm amid intense cold.

They identified the deceased as Liaquat Ali and the other as Imam Hussain, both residents of Gut Manglawar area.
