LAHORE: Outgoing Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi handed over cheques worth Rs20m as grants to the representatives of three bar associations of Mandi Bahauddin district who called on him in his office on Sunday.

The CM gave a cheque worth Rs10m to Mandi Bahauddin District Bar President Zahoor Ahmad Gondal, Rs5m to the secretary of Malakwal tehsil bar and a cheque of the same amount to Ehsanullah Warraich of the Phalia bar.

Meanwhile, Parvez Elahi presided over the 12th public-private partnership and monitoring board meeting and granted approval to construction of the Multan-Vehari dual road project.

The CM apprised the meeting that in the first phase a 39km dual road would be constructed from Multan to Tibba Sultanpur under the public-private partnership.

The meeting approved construction of Faisalabad-Chiniot-Sargodha road for construction under public-private partnership.
