THIS is with reference to the article ‘Why the TTP is undefeatable’ (Jan 7), which practically called the Afghan Taliban and the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) the proverbial two sides of the same coin, and insisted that the “delusion stands fully exposed” now.

Honestly, such assertions show the author’s lack of understanding that makes one say and write such words, and to equate terrorists with freedom-fighters. The ideological blinkers of our self-styled intellectuals are irritating and embarrassing at the same time.

The writer has directly implored the security establishment to embark upon a killing spree in the tribal areas. Finding a solution in bloodshed is hardly reflective of intellectualism. The lack of such insight will only end up further weakening Pakistani society which already stands polarised.
