PESHAWAR: Five persons were killed when rival groups clashed in Badhber area, some 12 kilometres south of the provincial capital, over a money dispute on Wednesday.

According to Badhber police, the clash took place between two groups in Sheikh Mohammadi area over a monetary dispute, leaving five persons dead and two others wounded from both the sides.

The police have arrested two persons from both the groups, Umar Tahir, an official at the police station, said, adding a case had been registered and a search launched to arrest other accused persons.

The official said that the injured were shifted to a hospital.
