KARACHI: A suspected robber was shot dead in an alleged encounter in Orangi Town’s MPR Colony on Sunday evening, police said.

They said suspect Waseem Qadir was wounded in the encounter. He was moved to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he died during treatment.

The police said he was booked in seven FIRs registered with police stations in district East and Central.

Meanwhile, a young man, identified as Israr Bacha Zada, was killed in celebratory firing in the SITE area late on Saturday night.
