ABBOTTABAD: Four minor siblings, including two girls, were killed and their parents suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out in their house near Salhad vegetable market here on Tuesday night.

Residents said that the fire suddenly erupted, giving no time to the inmates to get out.

Four children died of burns, while their parents were seriously injured. They were shifted to a hospital by the rescue personnel. The injured were later shifted to Ayub Medical Complex.

The reason for the fire could not be ascertained.

Those who died were identified as one-month-old Mohammad Shoaib, two-year-old Mohammad Usman, four-year-old Asia and six-year-old Maryam.
