DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two persons were killed when rival groups clashed in separate incidents over land disputes, a police official told Dawn here on Saturday.

Dera police spokesman Syed Yaqoob Bukhari said one person was killed and another injured when firing erupted between two groups in Khui Bahara village.

He said the police reached the spot and shifted the injured and the body to hospital.

The official said the deceased was identified as Mahmood Khan of Kirri Shamuzai area. He said the incident happened over a land dispute.

Separately, one person was killed and another injured when an exchange of fire took place between two groups in Wanda Saholan area over a land dispute.

The slain was identified as Mohammad Younis, 24, and the injured as Manzoor Hussain.

The police registered separate cases.
