DERA GHAZI KHAN: Two Kot Chhata constables were suspended from service after a clip regarding a lockup accused was posted on a social media platform.

The constables were charged with negligence.

District Police Officer Muhammad Rashid Hidayat ordered the deputy superintendent of police to conduct an inquiry into the issue.

HONEY TRAPS: The regional police office has initiated an awareness campaign to make the public aware of kidnapping through honey traps in south Punjab. The police are making announcements at public places, especially bus stations, in the region.

“Don’t fall into the honey trap; seductive female voice or the lure of cheap cars and items can land you in the clutches of kidnappers,” says the announcement made through a public address system.

On the orders of Regional Police Officer Sajjad Hasan Khan, the police informed the people in the region about the trap.

The announcement says: “Also inform your dear relatives and friends that kidnappers can trap them through love calls or through advertisements on social media regarding the sale of a car or other costly things at cheap rates.”
