LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar’s brothers appeared before the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Wednesday to defend themselves on the charges of receiving bribes for postings and transfers while he left for abroad, the ACE said.

The ACE launched a probe against Usman Dar for his alleged involvement in awarding of contracts to his ‘cronies’ in the Public Health Engineering, MCL and district government Sialkot.

The ACE said Mr Dar did not appear before its investigators as they were told by his lawyer that he was abroad. The ACE re-summoned him for Feb 28.

According to the ACE, Dar’s brothers - Umar Dar and Amir Dar - allegedly received bribes in postings and transfers. The ACE has already arrested Jahangir Butt, SDO of Public Health Engineering. “In the same case investigation is also under way against Usman Dar,” the ACE said.
