Uncles, a cooler version of dads
This is regarding the article “Uncles, a cooler version of dads” by Syed Zain Husain (YW, January 7).
Uncles can play a similar role as a dad, but with a different dynamic and relationship with their nieces and nephews. They may offer a different perspective, be more laidback, and create more fun and friendly memories.
Apart from the fact that they are uncles, they can give good advice as they are mature and experienced. However, both uncles and dads can bring out the best in a child’s personality in their own ways.

A precious friendship
This is regarding the story “A precious friendship” by Yusra Tahir (YW, January 7). The story gave its readers an important lesson about the significance of having friends in one’s life.
Friendship is a beautiful relationship. If anyone has a friend, they must cherish the relation throughout their life. A life without friends is empty, so one should always try to maintain the relation by being responsible and caring.

The digital detox
This is regarding the article “The digital detox” by Wasfa Khan (YW January 21). The writer refers to a significant concern in the modern world, which is technology addiction in teens and adults.
The usage of technology has increased with time and therefore kids and teens are cut off from the real world. Moreover, due to its excessive use, youngsters are facing adverse effect on their academic, professional and social lives.
Parents and elders in the family should take serious note and prevent them from being engaged with gadgets for too long.

Know your worth
This is with reference to the story “Know your worth” by Bakhtawar Saleem Shahani (YW, February 4). The writer emphasised the fact that knowing one’s worth is very important. It is true that your value doesn’t decrease, based on someone’s inability to see your worth.
I agree with the writer that one should embrace one’s self, don’t let anyone judge you and discourage you so much that you lose your confidence and ability to do something.
Some people degrade you and want you to be a failure, so knowing your worth helps you to prove them wrong and builds trust in yourself so that you can act accordingly and seize any opportunity. As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.
