BAHAWALPUR: A man, Waseem Murad, allegedly murdered his three aunts—Sham Bibi, Parveen Bibi and Shaheen Bibi—in their house in Basti Karna, in the limits of the Civil Lines police, on Wednesday.

The police said they arrested the suspect within half an hour, while the police crime unit and forensic unit collected evidence from the scene and shifted the bodies to the morgue of the Bahawal Victoria Hospital for postmortem examinations.

The police said that during preliminary interrogation, the suspect said he killed his aunts just in a fit of rage. The Civil Lines police have yet to register a murder case as a complaint from the family of the deceased women was not filed yet.

APCA: The All Pakistan Clerks Association of Metropolitan Corporation wing took out a rally demanding a pay raise. In this connection, they marched on Stadium Road and demonstrated at Farid Gate. Speakers demanded that the Punjab government immediately increase their salaries otherwise they would be constrained to continue their protest. They locked their offices.
