SUKKUR: A woman, who had eloped with her lover a month ago and took refuge in Darul Aman under court orders after police recovered her a couple of days before, ran away late last night.

The Darul Aman inmate Ms Ghulam Zehra, resident of SITE area, had married of her own free will Ghulam Murtaza of Thari Mirwah a month ago. Her relatives lodged a case against her purported husband at SITE police station.

The law-enforcers recovered the woman and produced her in local court where the woman appealed to the judge to send her to Darul-Aman. The court ordered she be sent to the shelter house from where she was believed to have run away late on Thursday night.

SSP Singhar Malik reached Darul Aman and made enquiries about the woman. He said the police were investigating the woman’s disappearance and would not spare any person found involved in it.

Police officials said that they had arrested three employees of Darul Aman for interrogation about the missing woman.
