QUETTA: A suspected terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire with security forces during an operation in Awaran district, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Awaran on a credible lead about a hideout of terrorists involved in recent blasts, carried out with the help of improvised explosive devices.
“One terrorist was killed during the ensuing exchange of fire and a large cache of weapons and ammunition has also been seized,” the ISPR said, adding that security forces would continue to thwart any attempt by hostile elements to disrupt hard-earned peace in the province.
