KARACHI: A teenage girl was killed and her brother wounded in a hit-and-run accident in Liaquatabad on Wednesday, police said.

Fabiha, 15, and her elder brother Arban were returning home on a motorbike from her school when a fast-moving vehicle hit them on the Liaquatabad flyover and sped away.

They were taken to the nearby Sindh Govt Hospital Liaquatabad, where doctors pronounced the girl dead. She was the daughter of DawnNews reporter Asim Khan.

Later, the body was moved to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to fulfil medico-legal formalities. The condition of the victim’s brother is said to be out of danger.
