MUZAFFARGARH: A man shot at and injured his neighbour woman over Rs1,000 loan at Mukwal Chowk in the limits of City Police Station, Alipur, on Thursday.

The suspect, identified as Irfan, exchanged harsh words with his neighbour who did not return Rs1,000 borrowed from him.

On Thursday, he broke into the house of his neighbour and opened fire on him. However, the neighbour’s wife, Kalsoom, came between both the men and a bullet hit her. She was seriously injured. The suspect escaped from the spot.

Kalsoom was shifted to the tehsil headquarters (THQ) hospital in critical condition where the doctors said her condition was serious.
