SUKKUR: A petition against alleged extrajudicial killing of a man, Asadullah Sheikh, was filed by his brother, Attaullah Sheikh, before the Larkana bench of the Sindh High Court on Saturday.

The petitioner said that his brother was killed in cold blood along with another man, Mir Khan Sheikh, about a month back in the Ghouspur area of Kandhkot-Kashmore district. The police later declared the victims ‘dacoits’ and claimed that they were shot dead in an encounter with police, the petitioner said.

Admitting the petition, the court issued notices to 19 respondents, including the Sindh chief secretary, home secretary, IGP, Larkana DIG and Kashmore SSP for March 14.

The court directed the SSP, four SHOs concerned and the personnel involved in the alleged encounter to personally appear in the court.
