KARACHI: Three suspects including two policemen were arrested for their alleged involvement in snatching a truck on Superhighway, now called M-9 Motorway.

“The Gadap police arrested three suspects and recovered the snatched truck from their custody,” said a police spokesperson.

The held suspects were identified as Constable Naqeebullah, who is posted at CIA in Naushahro Feroze, Constable Saddam Hussain of the same unit and private person Ghulam Shabbir.

The police said that the two policemen along with their private accomplices snatched the truck, tied the driver and conductor, and threw them in the bushes on the highway.

After receiving information about the incident, the Gadap police arrested the suspects near Usmania Restaurant on the motorway and recovered the truck.

A case under Sections 395 (dacoity), 397 (robbery or dacoity with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code was registered against them.
