TOBA TEK SINGH: A man allegedly killed his sister for honour on Tuesday in Faisalabad’s Sandalbar police area in Chak 32-JB.

According to an FIR registered on the complaint of Muhammad Imran, the husband of deceased Sumera Bibi, he had complained to her brother, Ali Manzoor, about her alleged affair with a man.

Ali was arguing with his deceased sister in the house where both quarrelled, the suspect shot her dead and fled.

The police were conducting raids to arrest the accused.

KILLED: A man killed a child after raping him in Chak 321-JB in Seowal.

According to the Saddar police, the seven-year-old boy went out of his house on Sunday afternoon but did not return. When his family failed to find him, his grandfather got a kidnap case registered against unidentified people.

The police took into custody a neighbour, a rickshaw driver, who confessed to killing him. He said he lured the child to his house where he attempted to rape him but he started crying over which he strangled him and hid his body in a box.

The police recovered the body on Tuesday.

Later, autopsy confirmed that the child was raped.

ACCIDENTS: Two motorcyclists died and another was injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a loader rickshaw on Tuesday on Railway Road in Jhang.

Rescue 1122 reported the collision left the bike riders injured seriously.

Later, two of them, identified as Naik Muhammad and Muhammad Jamshed, died while the third, Haider Ali, was shifted to the DHQ Hospital.

Also in Jhang district in Shorkot City, a pickup overturned when its driver attempted to save a motorcyclist, and as a result, Subhan Israr, Zahid Rashid, Khalida Tayyab and Tabassum Ali were injured. They were shifted to the Shorkot THQ Hospital.

In a related incident, one person died and nine passengers were injured when the van they were travelling in, hit the median of the Makkuana-Jarranwala bypass in Faisalabad on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Ramzan while the wounded shifted to the DHQ Hospital included Muhammad Sharif, Haris Rauf, Naureen Bibi, Ali Sher, Amin Sultan, Akmal Sharif, Rehana Akmal, Liaqat Khan and Waqar Ali.
