How radio changed our lives

This is regarding the cover story “How radio changed our lives” by Benazir Raz (YW, February 11). The article was on the power of radio transforming the lives of young people worldwide.

The legacy of radio is still thriving and is paving the way for advanced media devices and services.

Radio is a powerful source for people to connect and get knowledge; it has provided education in remote areas, and has been a catalyst for social change. The article is a must-read for anyone interested in the impact of media on society.

The cover article “How radio changed lives”, by Benazir Raz, provided information about the invention of radio and how it has been a great source in providing connectivity between communities around the world.

The radio made it possible for people to learn about other cultures, societies and current affairs through news, music, dramas and interviews, etc. I really liked this article and thus make a humble request to the team of YW to publish more such articles in the coming issues.

It is rightly said by Benazir Raz in her article “How radio changed lives” that the invention of radio is one of its kind. It has been helping people living in far off areas to get education, news and entertainment from this single device, even till this day. There are local radio stations in every city which also help communities to be heard and understood.

A raging fire

This is regarding the story “A raging fire” by Moheb Zia (YW, February18). The story was about a courageous boy who faced a horrible incident of fire at his school and how he saved himself with his quick-wittedness.

The story gave its readers a lesson that if you want to do something in life, then you must remain focussed and have belief in yourself.

Extinct animals

This is with reference to the article, “Can extinct animals be brought back to life?” by Shamoun Ghori (YW, March 4).

In this article, the writer’s interest towards nature and living things is clearly evident. And he has written about his trip to the museum in an interesting and informative manner. Moreover, the article and its style of writing also motivate the readers to know more about these things, thereby reading on the topic from other sources.

I am always happy to read articles on science in this magazine.
