The MCU’s newest superhero officially unveiled

Funko and Marvel Studios have officially unveiled the new SODA figure of Kahhori, the MCU’s newest original superhero set to debut in Season 2 of What If...? series on Disney+.

The figure looks to be of Native American descent, wearing traditional clothing and face paint. With the purchase of the figure, collectors have a chance to find the CHASE edition — a special version of the figure that has glow-in-the-dark features in some places.

The SODA can has blue and peach-coloured lettering and features Kahhori on the front. Since Kahhori she is an original character, she isn’t an adaptation of any character from Marvel Comics, and her story will be entirely new and fresh.

The animated series, Batman: Caped Crusader, is moving to Prime Video for two seasons, after HBO Max cancelled the project as part of a cost-cutting measure.

No voice cast has been announced yet. The show is being executive produced by Felicity collaborators J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves, as well as Bruce Timm, the mastermind behind the 1990s classic, Batman: The Animated Series. They described the show as “thrilling, cinematic and evocative of Batman’s noir roots, while diving deeper into the psychology of these iconic characters.”

Reeves helmed 2022’s live-action blockbuster, The Batman, and is now working on a sequel.
