DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Police claimed to have arrested a three-member gang of robbers and recovered seven snatched motorcycles and one mobile phone from it.

Paharpur SDPO Kashif Sattar told a news conference that police used the latest technology and human resources to trace the robbers. He added that police conducted a successful operation against the gang and arrested three robbers including its ringleader.

The arrested men were identified as Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Adnan and Mohammad Faheem, all residents of Paharpur. Police also recovered seven snatched motorcycles and one mobile phone from them.

Meanwhile, police on Saturday claimed to have arrested four suspects and recovered drugs, weapons and ammunition from their possession.

An official said that police arrested Hameedullah and recovered a 30-bore pistol and 25 cartridges from his possession. He said police also arrested Nawaz Khan and recovered 320 grams of heroin from him.

Police also arrested Fatehullah and recovered 150 grams of heroin and 75 grams of ice from him. Police arrested Samiullah, who was wanted by in a murder case.

PRIZE: Assistant Commissioner Farhan Ahmed has stressed the need for constant contact between teachers and parents for grooming of students and making them useful citizens.

He was speaking as a chief guest at the annual prize distribution ceremony of a private school and college. He said that attention should be focused on making children successful citizens.

He said that parents should not only maintain a strong contact with teachers but joints efforts should be made for the best training of children so that they could play a positive role in the development of the country.

Earlier, Principal Azmatullah Khan said that children were the asset of a nation and their best education was a common responsibility of all. He distributed certificates among the students with the best attendance record during last year while the chief guest distributed shields among the position holders.
