TAFTAN: The Iranian authorities on Sunday deported 36 Pakistani immigrants who had illegally entered the country.

According to officials, the illegal immigrants were handed over to the Levies Force officials at the Rahdari Gate on the Mir Javeh-Taftan border near the Chagai district.

Among the deportees, 12 immigrants belonged to Punjab, five from KP, one from Balochistan and 18 from Sindh.

Initial interrogation suggested that the migrants were aiming to reach European countries via Turkiye without legal documents to earn a better livelihood. They were arrested in different parts of Iran, the officials added. The detainees were later handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency for further interrogation.
