SWABI: A man was killed and three injured in separate incidents here on Thursday.

Police said their official Ameer Sher was gunned down by his brother, Zar Sher, who also worked in the department, in Naranjivillage of Razaar tehsil.

They identified the gunman as Zar Sher and the deceased as Ameer Sher. Both lived in separate houses.

Their father, Shamsher Khan, claimed that his sons had heated exchanges over a domestic issue on Wednesday and issued death threats to each other.

He saidZar Sher showed up outside Ameer Sher’s house on Thursday morning and loudly challenged him to come out and as the latter stepped out, the former gunned the latter down and fled.

Mr Shamsher said he witnessed the murder.

DSP Iqbal Khan said the suspected killer had been booked and he would be arrested “very soon.”

Meanwhile, a man was injured in a road accident on the Topi Bypass.

The people shifted the injured, Zahid Umar, 26, to the Topi Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Also in the day, two speeding rickshaws collided head-on on the Swabi-Mardan Road in Charbagh area leaving two people injured.

The injured included Raham Taj Umar, a 55-year-old resident of Sheikh Jana area, and Siraj Umar, a 33-year-old resident of Malikabad area.
