DERA GHAZI KHAN: The quota of free flour for the four districts of Dera Ghazi Khan division is insufficient to meet the people’s demand, says the commissioner.

The government has set up 100 distribution centres in the division.

Commissioner Nasir Mehmood told reporters that 124,943 flour bags have been distributed in Muzaffargarh, 105,746 in Rajanpur, 77,560 in Dera Ghazi Khan, and 75,395 in Layyah.

He said that the allocated quota of free flour for deserving dwellers of Dera Ghazi Khan division was 500,000 bags, whereas the actual demand is 850,000 flour bags.

He maintained that special arrangements had been made for wheat supplies to flour mills to meet the demand.

He claimed that one could get flour in 10 minutes at a distribution centre.
