We all love small sweet treats like chocolates and candies to munch, especially when we are having a cool time with our friends or loved ones. Plus, they can be the best present to take when going to a friend’s place.
However, we often stick to the traditional way of presenting them in a box, which we are not going to do today, let’s make a beautiful cup and fill it with some sweets and surprise your friend with it.
You can also put it on your study table, in the drawing room or give it as a party favour cup.
Things you need:
One foam sheet to make the cup and a saucer (colour of your choice)
Pieces of foam sheet (pink or red colour to make flowers)
Scrapes or small pieces of green foam sheet to make leaves
Hot glue
Ruler
Scissors
Beads or pearls for decoration
Directions:
Cut a square of about 6X6 inches from all sides of the main foam sheet. Cut it in a circle and then cut the edges in wavy shape. This is the saucer for the cup, picture 2.
Cut 8-inch long and 3.5-inch-wide semi-arch to make the cup, and 1.5cm wide long strip to make the handle both from the same-coloured foam sheet, picture 3.
Cut two red foam pieces into circles and then cut the edges in a wavy shape to make the flower, also cut leaves from the green pieces of foam, picture 4.
Dab some hot glue on both sides of the semi-arch and join them, picture 5.
Apply glue at the bottom of the cup and paste it in the centre of the saucer, picture 6.
Roll the strip from one side while holding it firmly, creating a small coil, and secure it with the glue, then roll up the other end on the same strip and secure it with hot glue, giving at least three-inch space between both coils, picture 7.
Paste the handle on the cup as shown in picture 8.
Roll red or pink spirals while dabbing glue at intervals, to make flowers. Paste the leaves on the base of the cup and flowers on top of them, picture 9.
The cup is ready to serve, decorate it with beads or string of beads and put the sweet treat inside.
