RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatha along with Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan and Controller of Examinations Sajid Mehmood Farooqui visited various examination centres to review arrangements.
The commissioner visited Government Deny’s Higher Secondary School Rawalpindi and reviewed steps taken by BISE and expressed their satisfaction.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the district administration of all six districts of Rawalpindi division is in touch with BISE on instructions of the chief secretary.
BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan visited Government Boys High School Panchnand, Government Girls High School Panchnand, Government High School Kot Gila District Talagang and Government t High School Anjara Attock.
Superintendent/deputy superintendent and invigilators checked attendance at the centre and issued instructions to the examination staff to strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the government.
“No negligence will be tolerated in this regard. If anyone is found guilty of violating SOPs, disciplinary action will be taken against him/her as well as a first information report (FIR) will be registered,” he said.
Punjab Higher Education Secretary Javed Akhtar Mahmood said that the government was determined to eradicate the cheating mafia with a strict and solid strategy in matriculation examination.
According to instructions issued by him, honest staff should be appointed to monitor teachers and other officials with good reputation for the elimination of cheating.
Controller of Examinations Sajid Mahmood Farooqui visited Government Boys High School Sukho, Government Girls High School Sukho and Government Girls High School Mandara.
He said that the examination staff should perform their duties with diligence and dedication. If anyone tries to influence them, they should immediately report it directly to him or to the central control room so that immediate action could be taken.
