QUETTA: A man hanged his young wife to death after accusing her of infidelity in the Duki area of Kohlu district on Tuesday, Levies officials said.

According to reports, the man accused her wife, 22, of having an affair with another man and hanged her with a rope inside their home. He had two children with her. The victim’s brother denied the allegation and claimed that his sister’s husband killed her with the help of his brother.

“They killed my sister by strangling and burnt with a hot iron bar,” he alleged, adding that autopsy confirmed that torture before death. He said that it was an exchange marriage (watta satta) and he married the sister of his brother-in-law.

He added that his sister always complained that her husband and other family members used to torture her.Levies have registered a case against two persons and started an investigation.
