HYDERABAD: A government officer has accused principal of a private boarding trust school of beating up and harassing his son, a student, and also misbehaving with him and his wife when they met the principal to complain about a number of issues.

Usama Anwar, a forest officer, along with his son Ahmed Abdul Rehman told a press conference at local press club that when he attended parents-teachers meeting on March 26 the school principal misbehaved with him and his wife. The principal had them bundled out through his armed guards and rusticated his son, he said.

He alleged that before the meeting, Ahmed was warned by the principal that if he complained against the mess and the school, he would have to face the music.

He said that when they entered the principal’s room his son was standing in a corner shivering.

He said that he got his son examined at a prominent laboratory and his test report showed that he was having nutrition deficiency. For termination of admission the principal mentioned “rude and uncouth behavior of boy’s father” alone, he said. He said that he got an FIR was lodged against the principal, retired air commodore Nayyar Qayyum Khawaja, and the security guard but no action had been taken so far.

The school principal did not respond to this reporter’s questions.
