TAXILA: Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir termed Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) a hub of knowledge, economy, research and development.
He expressed these views during his visit to the defence industrial complex on Tuesday.
The army chief visited various factories and witnessed manufacturing, rebuilding and upgrading of tanks, enhanced protection solutions, remote weapon systems and indigenous 155mm artillery gun barrels.
Gen Munir was briefed about technical capabilities of HIT, progress of on-going projects, indigenisation efforts and recently undertaken modernisation measures.
