LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has prepared a comprehensive plan to ensure cleanliness arrangements for the upcoming Pak vs NZ T20 cricket series at Gaddafi Stadium.

As per the plan, LWMC will complete all necessary arrangements before the series which will include the janitorial services inside and outside the Gaddafi Stadium, audience seating areas and lavatories. Washing and sweeping of all the enclosures of the stadium shall be completed by April 13 (today).

LWMC will provide janitorial services in three matches till the final contest on 17th.

In order to ensure best cleanliness arrangements for the international series, the department has deployed 190 sanitary workers, 22 supervisors and 20 officers for the cleanliness of the stadium from inner side whereas, at outer ring of the stadium, 50 sanitary workers (20 in first shift and 30 in second shift) along with five supervisors and miscellaneous staff shall participate.

In addition to this, for maintaining cleanliness in dedicated four parking lots, 40 sanitary workers, four supervisors/in-charges shall take part.

Similarly, to maintain cleanliness at the adjoining routes of Gaddafi Stadium till PC Hotel, town manager operations of the concerned zones shall participate. Furthermore, four water bowsers, three mechanical sweepers, five mini dumpers and a compactor shall also be used for washing and sweeping of the stadium.

LWMC chief executive officer Babar Sahib Din said respective operations managers will be present at the stadium for the T20 series, and will monitor the cleanliness arrangements themselves.

He stressed that all town managers should ensure washing of the stadium, dusting of seats and cleaning of wash rooms as well.
