LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) staged a protest demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club on Thursday against the arrest of party leaders Ali Amin Gandapur and PTI chairman’s security head and businessman Iftikhar Ghuman.
The protesters led by Senator Ejaz Chaudhry were carrying banners and placards having pictures of the arrested and kidnapped party leaders alongside party chairman Imran Khan.
They chanted slogans against the PDM government and demanded release of both party leaders as well as other political prisoners belonging to the PTI.
Speaking to media persons, Senator Chaudhry said Iftikhar Ghuman was looking after the security of the party chairman and was arrested by the FIA.
He said Ali Amin Gandapur had secured bail in all cases and being produced before different courts. He said this fascist government had also instituted 144 FIRs against party chief Imran Khan.
Similarly, he said, PTI’s hundreds of workers had been implicated in fake cases and most of them were still behind bars. He said the PDM government was using these tactics to take people away from Imran Khan but the reality was different as people were getting more attracted towards the PTI chairman.
