ISLAMABAD: Syed Naveed Qamar was on Friday unanimously elected as convener of a parliamentary panel constituted to examine amendments to the Elections Act 2017 proposed by the ECP.

Senator Taj Haider proposed the name of MNA Qamar as convener of the committee, which was seconded by Engineer Sabir Hussain Kaim Khani.

In his acceptance speech, Mr Qamar expressed his gratitude and pledged to work collaboratively with the committee to fulfil their responsibilities.

The members present at the meeting acknowledged the significance of the committee and assured their support in accomplishing the assigned task in due time.
