PESHAWAR: Four persons were killed in a clash between two groups over a property dispute in Sangu area on the outskirts of the provincial capital on Friday, the police said.

A statement issued by the city police said an exchange of fire took place between two groups over a property dispute, which left four persons dead, two from each group. It added Imran, Hussain Sawab, Haider Ali and Faisal died in the firing incident.

The statement said the bodies were shifted to a hospital for autopsy, adding police registered a case and raided different locations to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, a local cleric, namely Sajjad, was stabbed to death by unknown persons inside a mosque in Chuha Gujjar area of the provincial capital on Thursday night.

Police said Safiullah, a brother of the deceased and resident of Musazai area, informed the police his brother was stabbed to death by unknown persons. A case was registered.
