All that glitters is not gold

This is regarding the story “All that glitters is not gold” by Fatima Hassan (YW, April 1). The story gave a very important lesson that the charm of superficial appearances can often deceive individuals into making unwise decisions and placing themselves in great danger.

It’s crucial to think before acting and also assess things and individuals beyond their exterior facade, to form sound judgments and make better choices.

Studying for exam during Ramazan

This is regarding the cover article “Studying for exam during Ramazan” by Faraz Ahmed (YW, April 1). It was a wonderful and timely article as most kids have exams right after Eidul Fitr, which means that kids had to study even during the holy month of Ramazan.

All the tips given and the topic discussed were really helpful and I hope, like me, many other kids have prepared for their exams during the blessed month, along with our religious practices.

The spirit of Ramazan

This is with reference to the article “The spirit of Ramazan” by Sara Pirzada (YW, March 25). The article highlighted the true essence of Ramazan, which lies not only in fasting, but also doing good deeds.

It is the time to stay away from evil acts and be dedicated to doing good to everyone around us. The lessons of patience and self-discipline we learn in Ramazan should continue during the rest of the year too.

The night of the moon

This is regarding the story “The night of the moon” by Farheen Farwa (YW, April 1). It was a lovely and heart-warming story about how we celebrate the night of the moon, that is chaad raat, in anticipation of Eidul Fitr the next day.

The writer described the excitement of waiting for the sighting of the crescent moon, the joy of breaking the fast with loved ones, and the tradition of applying mehndi designs on hands that night.
