Begging: a desperate plea for survival

This is regarding the cover article “Begging: a desperate plea for survival” by Benazir Raz (YW, April 15). The writer emphasised the importance of recognising and supporting the neglected class, the beggars and the needy.

The writer rightly pointed out that many people tend to assume that all beggars are professionals or fake, and we ignore the genuine and deserving ones in need. We should ensure that our donations reach those who require them the most. By doing so, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those in need and help them overcome their struggles.

Everything happens for a reason

This is regarding the article “Everything happens for a reason” by Ayesha Ilyas (YW, April 1). Life is characterised by its share of highs and lows, which can make it challenging to pursue positive transformation.

It is natural that we may encounter obstacles and failures, but our reaction to these challenges is the key determinant of our success.

Change always starts from within

This is with reference to the article “Change always starts from within” by Mahira Aziz (YW, April 1). No other person can direct you towards what you require until you realise that you possess the solutions within yourself. It is impossible for anyone to force you to do something you do not wish to do. Only you have the ability to rid yourself of harmful thoughts, such as guilt, anger, depression, anxiety, fear, and self-doubt.

So, embrace yourself with positivity and believe that you are strong and can do better without others interfering in your life.

Donate wisely

This is with reference to the article “Donate wisely” by Ali Aaliyan Rizvi (YW, April 15). The writer discussed the importance of donating wisely during Ramazan, because there are many deserving people who are struggling to make ends meet due to the economic crisis.

I agree with the writer’s perspective that it’s more meaningful to donate to individuals who work diligently, but still find it challenging to make ends meet rather than giving money to beggars, who feel no hesitation in asking for what they need. Such individuals may be struggling silently, and extending a helping hand towards them can make a significant difference in their lives.
