The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the release of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry who was arrested last week under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order, according to Dawn News TV.
Islamabad police had said the arrests of PTI leaders and activists were made for inciting arson and violent protests “under a thought-out plan for threatening peace”.
Dawn.com correspondent Umer Burney reported that PTI submitted an undertaking with the court, distancing itself from violent protests that broke out post Imran Khan’s arrest.
More details are awaited.
