Man burnt alive

TOBA TEK SINGH: A man was burnt alive in a fire erupting in his house in Chak 7-GB, Bachiana, located on Nankana Sahib Road, Jarranwala.

Rescue 1122 officials say Bashir Ahmad was making tea on a stove when suddenly fire engulfed the room.

As he tried to extinguish it, his clothes also caught fire and in no time the burning roof collapsed on him.

As a result, Bashir was burnt alive before he could be rescued.

A Rescue 1122 team reaching the village, removed the debris and pulled out charred body of the victim.

INJURED: Robbers shot at and critically injured two men during a road robbery on Tuesday near Adda Awagat on Jarranwala Road.

Shahbaz Ahmad (30) and Nadir Ali (28) were on a motorcycle when two robbers intercepted them. As the two men offered resistance, one of the criminals opened fire, leaving both of them injured seriously. The robbers fled the scene.
