PTI MNA Malik Jawad Hussain, elected in 2018 from Orakzai, has announced that he is quitting the party. Addressing the media, he said strongly condemned the May 9 violence.

“This is Pakistan and its institutions are ours. Pakistan will only stay strong when its institutions are strong,” he said, adding that “I did not take the decision under any pressure”.
