Chairing a meeting on the law and order situation in the country today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif likened the “PTI’s violence on May 9” to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

“TTP set fire to the Jinnah house in Ziarat and the PTI set fire to Jinnah House in Lahore … which is now the Core Commander’s residence.

“TTP attacked the GHQ [General Headquarters] and these enemies of the state … the PTI … also attacked the GHQ,” the premier said, recalling that the Radio Pakistan office in Peshawar was also vandalised during the May 9 riots.

“These events will psychologically affect the nation for years to come.”
