KARACHI: As upper and central parts of the province remain in the grip of a heatwave under the influence of a westerly wave, the Met department has forecast partly cloudy/warm and windy weather for Karachi for the next three days.

According to the advisory, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy/warm and humid with occasional gusty winds.

On Wednesday, the wind speed was 28 kilometres per hour. The maximum wind speed is expected to be between 25km per hour and 30km per hour.

The maximum temperature is likely to range between 34 degrees Celsius and 37°C. The maximum and minimum temperature recorded in Karachi on Wednesday was 28.5°C and 35.2°C.

For the rest of Sindh, the department has forecast isolated dust-thunderstorm/light rain in Khairpur and Sanghar on Thursday (today).

Meanwhile, the department recorded the maximum temperature in Jacobabad and Shaheed Benazirabad (44.5°C) followed by Padidan, Moenjodaro, and Dadu (43.5°C), Khairpur (43.3°C), Rohri and Sakrand. (43°C), Larkana (42.5°C), Sukkur (42°C) and Hyderabad (42.2°C).
