Former Punjab home minister Col Hashim Dogar has called for exemplary punishment to be meted out to the culprits of the May 9 protests and vandalism.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said: “Whoever was involved, whether that was in inciting, motivating or physically attacking, they should be punished such that never again till the country remains anyone gets the chance to do any such action against any institution.”

He also blamed the events on PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz for their comments against the military.
