CHARSADDA: Five people were killed in separate incidents in different areas of Charsadda district on Monday.

Police said that Sardar Hussain shot dead his wife in Kandaharo Kallay in the limits of Umarzai police station after exchange of hot words. Jamal Shah, brother of deceased woman, registered FIR against Sardar Hussain.

In the second incident, Qasim of Parang opened firing on his friend Asghar Ali and his brother Ghaffar Ali after a verbal clash. Asghar was killed and Ghaffar was injured in the attack.

In Shakoor village, Saeed Jan was killed by his rivals over a land dispute. Police lodged a case against Alamgir, Bilal and Thawab Khan.

In another incident, Hamadullah was injured when Naushad Bacha opened firing on him over a woman dispute in the limits of Padang police station. Hamadullah succumbed to his wounds in the hospital.

Also, Abbas shot dead his brother Farhad after altercation in Chak Hisara area in the limits of City police station.
