KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori on Tuesday announced launching a website for registration of candidates to be taught free-of-cost information technology courses at Governor House.

Speaking at a press conference here, Governor Tessori said the youngsters could register themselves on www.governorsindh.com for courses of artificial intelligence, metaverse and web 3.

A screening test will be conducted and 50,000 youth would be selected for these highly advanced courses, he said.

“After the completion of these courses, people can earn up to Rs1.5 million per month, but the amount would depend on the acquired skills and expertise,” he said, adding: “Around half a million people would be invited for the screening test from which a batch of 50,000 would be selected for the first phase of this programme.”

He said soon details of the courses will be advertised throughout the city. The people coming for the test or taking classes would also be provided refreshments, he said.

The governor said that no public funds were being used for this project as it was being carried out with the help of philanthropists. “Soon you will see an advertising campaign with details of this project, which would attract youngsters and guide them to choose a course of their choice and in accordance with their aptitude,” he said.

He lauded the efforts of renowned IT experts and consultants who were extending their services and expertise free of cost for this programme.
