KARACHI: Sindh Information and Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon directed officials concerned to take all-out measures for early completion of the Peoples Bus Service (PBS) app as part of an e-card system for commuters.

Chairing a meeting of the transport department, Mr Memon instructed the officials to expedite implementation on the intelligent transport and e-card system.

He called upon the authorities for the urgent completion of the PBS app and asked them to immediately activate the command and control system of the bus service.

The minister asked the officials to complete construction of PBS stops in the metropolis.

He highlighted the importance of bringing electric buses on city roads to enhance travel facilities for the people.

However, he was concerned over the shortage of chargers for electric buses and directed the authorities to arrange maximum chargers at the earliest.

Transport Secretary Saleem Rajput, the Sindh Mass Transit Authority chief and other officials also attended the meeting.
