The Anti-Corruption Establishment has sought PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s 14-day physical remand from a Lahore district court, a day after he was arrested from outside his Lahore residence.
Elahi was arrested in a graft case for allegedly misusing his authority and corruption in development projects.
He was presented in court today after being brought in an armoured police van, Dawn.com correspondent Rana Bilal reported.
Judicial Magistrate Ghulam Murtaza heard the former Punjab chief minister’s case, where the ACE requested the court for his 14-day physical remand. The government counsel told the court that an investigation was yet to be conducted.
